Review: David Woodard - I Used To Be Cool (Ep, released 2018)

David Woodard from Nashville, released his first Ep in November 2018. When I heard his songs for the first time, I couldn't believe that the man is not more popular yet. The Ep offers finest Jangle Pop and Power Pop with Beatles influences.
''Waiting For Christmas'' ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=C_A6kMPhhqc ), released for Christmas 2018 was probably one of the best Christmas songs of 2018.

The song I Used To Be Cool'' is as far as I know only released on the Ep, but has absolute hit single qualities. The song has a great video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=3&v=CnA9ewTWaQQ ) and is as far as I know realized by his brother Noah. To make it short: The whole Ep with five songs convinces without exception with high-class pop/power pop and intelligent songwriting and I hope that David Woodard's first album will be released soon. Very recommendable.
Single and Ep are available as digital download here: Bandcamp
