Folk, Folk Rock, Country Rock: Happy & Artie Traum - Happy & Artie Traum 1969 (2010 Big Pink, Korea)

I didn't find a review for this wonderful album and I don't want to bore you again with a review of myself. Just this much: In my opinion this is a great Folk Rock, Country Rock album, packed with wonderful songs. Two songs are foreign compositions, everything else was written by the brothers.
Just to name a few of the fantastic musicians worked on this album: Michael Esposite - Bass, Eric Kaz - Harmonica, Piano, Organ, Jerry Carigan - Drums, Ken Lauber - Piano and a lot more. This is a favourite Folk, Folk-and-Country Rock album by me. Enjoy.(Frank)

  2. I had this album back in the day and like a fool, I got rid of it. So grateful to get a second chance to hear it again. Thank you,

  3. Thanks a lot, Frank! As a couple they only recorded three (resp. four) albums (this is their debut recording) but seperately (and collaborating with other musicians) they had lots and lots of albums out. They were part of loose assembly "Mud Acres" where they performed and recorded with Eric Kaz, Bill Keith, Cat Mother's Larry Packer (a band that would perfectly fit here!), and John B.Sebastian. Artie Traum's masterwork composition "Barbed Wire" can be found on the "Woodstock Mountains - More Music from Mud Acres" album which I strongly recommend (the Paul Butterfield-John B.Sebastian harmonica duet "Amazing Grace" alone is a real stunner!).
