60s/70s (and more) Pop/Pop Rock: The Hollies - The Single Collection + 1997 (EMI Netherlands) 2 CD



Losing many more words about a band like the Hollies is, I think, pretty unnecessary here. The band was one of the most successful pop bands of the sixties in many European countries and also on the American continent as well as Asia and Oceania. Also in the seventies the band could celebrate further successes.

This double CD offers a complete overview of their greatest (single) successes and, as the title suggests, even more. The double CD was released in 1997 by EMI Netherlands and if you don't have a single collection from the band yet, you're in good hands. Enjoy(Frank)

    Excellent compilation! Nice to have all that wonderful stuff gathered in one place so you can follow the development of one of the definite bands of pop history. By the way, if you could take with you only one song per band on a desert island, for me it would be Graham Gouldman's "Bus Stop". It is, however, in my top 100 list of "Songs I wish I had written".

      ich würde wahrscheinlich ALLE Gouldman Kompositionen heimlich auf die Insel schmuggeln, lol. Und wahrscheinlich eine Menge mehr. ''Bus Stop'' ist schon ein Monster von Song, aber Graham Gouldman hat so viele großartige Sachen geschrieben, meiner Meinung nach einer der größten Pop Songwriter aller Zeiten. Danke wieder einmal für deinen Kommentar und einen schönen Tag wünsche ich dir.
