Yellow Sunshine Explosion was a German band from the eighties who released this great psychedelic pop/rock album in 1987. The band's name actually describes the beginning of an LSD trip, caused by a sort that was very popular here in Germany in the seventies and even in the eighties, called Yellow Sunshine(s). But this only by the way ;-) .
The album offers ten excellent songs and has no filler on the album. The songs are always within the range of psychedelic pop, although sometimes it's a bit rougher. I wouldn't call the album 'Krautrock' either, because first of all 'Krautrock' is in my opinion a certain epoch of German progressive rock music and secondly the band's music can't be called Prog Rock. But maybe you'll listen to it yourself. Enjoy.(Frank)
