A Review About The New Release 'Glimpses' By French Band ''Bootchy Temple'' (Howlin' Records)

Hello folks, I'd like to introduce to you today the new album of the French band ''Bootchy Temple'', which bears the name: Glimpses, and as far as I'm informed it was released on October 26th. One can certainly classify the band under the generic term Indie Pop. Their style includes echoes of Jangle Pop, Psychedelic Pop, Space Pop. In their songs the band conveys a very relaxed mood with a pronounced feeling for expressive melodies. It is these melodies that convey the positive impression of the songs and, together with the relaxed arrangements, make the album a very worth listening to affair. The very cleverly used organ is always a positive feature of the songs. None of the instruments used is an end in itself but is always in the service of the song. I don't want to emphasize any song here, because the album works mostly as a complete album and I think everyone will find their personal favorites on the album themselves. Conclusion: The album has become a round thing and will certainly appeal to a lot of people. Only I would have wished for a bit more ''aggressiveness'' (in a positive sense) here and there. I give the album four out of five stars and i am curious how the band will develop in the future. Listen to it. (Frank)

You can listen  (and if you like what you hear buy) the album HERE on bandcamp.
