The Kinetic - Live Your Life 1967 (2003 Magic Records) Remastered, DigiPak

I was very excited to discover that this Kinetic album has been re-issued. I was a big fan back in the day, but my vinyl "Live Your Life" LP, and the EPs are long gone.
I play this CD a lot, but I think my favorite cut is "Jam Around" because it best represents the way the band played live. They were an amazing live band, but I know that they had to make some compromises to suit the record company's idea of how they should sound, so in some ways this album doesn't totally do them justice.
I got to see them play a lot while they were in France, the most memorable being the concerts with Hendrix, Stevie Windwood and Cat Stevens, although I missed the one at Paris Olympia with Chuck Berry, which I heard was incredible.
I lost track of what happened to some of the band members, although I know that Bob Weston went on to play with Rod Stewart, Long John Baldry and Fleetwood Mac.
The singer Andy Mowbray moved to America, changed his name to Spanna Mo, and had a successful band in the eighties called IF..., based in Tucson Arizona.
Last I heard, he was gaining a reputation as a Didgeridoo virtuoso in Hawaii.
I would recommended this album to anyone who relates to the late sixties tilt from British Mod Blues to Psychedelia.(Sherry Stone, amazon customer)

A diversified album that's a lot of fun and doesn't get boring.Have fun.(Frank)
